The Guidance Department is committed to supporting the growth of students in the areas of personal, social, academic, and career development with an emphasis on career and life planning and strengths-based, student-centered counselling.

What do we provide?
For Students
Personal counselling services (grief, stress, feelings of anxiety or sadness), career counselling, course selection guidance, resources for post-secondary planning, resources for mental health, academic skills support, mediation, employment resources, referrals to mental health or family agencies
For Families
Resources for issues relating to mental health, information regarding post-secondary planning and future career options, referrals to family services
For Staff
Consultation, resources, information in the area of mental health programming, mediation
How do I know if I need to see my counsellor?
You can come to guidance for anything that is bothering you, or if you need information or help and don’t know who to turn to
Some possibilities:
- Personal Issues
- Difficulties in class (but better to see your teachers first)
- Occupation and career questions
- What courses to take in school
- What education or training to look for
- Job-finding skills like resumes and interviewing
- Looking for volunteer opportunities
What do I need to do to make an appointment?
Parents can call Mr. Lalancette in the Guidance Office at (450) 621-7830 ext. 8317
Students may visit between classes or during breaks
Students will be given an appointment slip to be excused from class
Students are to present their slip to their teacher. The counsellor will have signed it so a student may have their attendance recorded appropriately
