Dear Parents, or Guardians,
Our afterschool study program/homework club is about to be up and rolling!
The program is offered to students in grades 7 to 9 every Monday and Wednesday afternoon from 2:30 to 4:00p.m. There will be teachers available so students may work on Math, French and English or Social Studies during this afterschool homework club. Snacks will be provided to ensure students are ready to concentrate and learn to the best of their ability.
The homework club is designed to provide a place for your child to get a start on, and help with, their daily homework assignments. It is also a place to form study habits that are so important to student success during these last few months of school. All students in grades 7 to 9 who have homework and/or need help with mastery of any skills are welcome to attend.
All students are expected to come to the club with all homework materials. Students will be asked to sign in and out. In order to make this a positive experience for all who attend, disruptive behaviors will not be allowed. If a student is disruptive, the following procedure will occur:
● First time the Parents/Guardians will receive a warning
● Second time Parents/Guardians will receive a 2nd letter removing the student from the program.
Please be advised that it is the parent’s responsibility to pick up the student from the Homework club on time, on days they attend. THERE WILL BE NO LATE BUSES.
Due to budgetary restrictions a nominal fee of $5.00 (cash/debit/credit – no cheques) will be charged per week. The program will run for 25 weeks/50 sessions. Parents have two payment options:
- Payment in advance of the total amount - $125.00
- Two payments of $ 62.50
One payment ($62.50) by October 22nd
The second payment ($62.50) payable on or before January 31st
If you wish to submit your child’s name for the program, please complete the section below and submit it to Ms. Symons at the front desk before Friday, October 26th, 2018. We are expecting a great deal of interest in this program and we will have to limit the number of participants therefore we will implement a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED policy.
